How to Help your Child with Phonics
Phonics is a way of teaching children to read and write. At Southville Primary School, we teach phonics through the Letters and Sounds programme, accompanied by the musical elements of Jolly Phonics. In Reception and Key Stage One, children have daily phonics sessions. Phonics lessons are fun, motivational and multi-sensory by use of songs, games, actions and play activities.
